"e-Science & Research Data Management" from March 23 - March 24, 2010, in Potsdam

FH Potsdam and FIZ Karlsruhe will host a conference on "e-Science & Research Data Management“ from March 23  - March 24, 2010, in Potsdam/Germany.

Scientists, librarians, scientific data managers and software developers are given an overview of basic issues in scientific data management and possible solutions. There is also room for discussion.

The event also includes an eSciDoc workshop for those who would like to develop their own applications based on the open source system eSciDoc. The basic concepts of the eSciDoc infrastructure and its most important services are introduced. Then a “hands-on“ installation of eSciDoc is carried out and examples are given of how eSciDoc can be used for programming. For more information on the eSciDoc project, please visit www.escidoc.org
