Today, the direct route to scientific-technical and patent information leads via STN International, The Scientific & Technical Information Network, which is jointly operated by FIZ Karlsruhe and Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS). STN offers access to a worldwide unique collection of about 200 databases through different user interfaces. Efficient tools are available for analysis and visualization of search results and for creating reports.
