AQUASCI corresponds to the printed publications: ASFA 1: Biological Sciences and Living Resources; ASFA 2: Ocean Technology, Policy and Non-Living Resources; ASFA 3: Aquatic Pollution and Environmental Quality; ASFA Aquaculture Abstracts; and ASFA Marine Biotechnology Abstracts. Records contain bibliographic data, abstracts, and indexing information.
The database is compiled in cooperation with four United Nations agencies, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Office for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea (OALOS), the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and a network of national research centers worldwide.
