Regardless of whether the owner decides to patent the invention, by the early disclosure he is free to exploit the invention in his own country, or possibly abroad as well. By the disclosure the invention is included in the state of the art preventing it from being validly patented by a later applicant. Disclosures may be published either accredited or anonymously.
Each record contains the title, patent assignee (company and individual inventors as well as the statement 'anonymous'), patent, priority and source information, and the full text. About 50% of the records contain the International Patent Classification, about 30% contain additionally the European Patent Classification.
