The file was created by optical character recognition (OCR) of the original patent documents. There is no overlap between USPATOLD and USPATFULL or USPAT2.
Complete Chemical Abstracts™ indexing as well as CAS title, inventor, and patent assignee for one equivalent U.S. chemical patent are also included for those publications covered by CAS. The file also includes thesauri for the USPTO Manual of Classifications and for the current edition (8th) as well as the previous editions (1-7) of the WIPO manual of the International Patent Classification (IPC) codes.
A thesaurus is present for the /IPC, IPCI, IPCR (and /IPC1 - /IPC8), /NCL, and /INCL search fields in the USPATOLD File.
