Chemical Information à la Carte – the STNext Multi-file Menu now Refined with ReaxysFileSub

STNext combines databases from CAS, Clarivate and Elsevier, the world's leading providers of chemical information, on a single platform, making it the most comprehensive source for searching high-quality chemical information. This webinar explores the benefits of multi-file structure searching on STNext to efficiently retrieve complementary results.

After a brief introduction of the basic search principles for searching chemical information on STNext, we explore why various indexing policies, document coverage and other differences require searches in the Derwent Chemistry Resource (DCR) and Derwent Markush Resource (DWPIM) databases as well as the CAS REGISTRY and MARPAT databases, plus ReaxysFileSub for comprehensiveness. In addition, we specifically address possible pitfalls and provide useful tips, e.g., on editing structures to focus the searches to specific databases. The session also illustrates how to deal efficiently with the results, and the identification and/or removal of duplicates.
