In this e-Seminar you learn about the content and features of the Derwent Markush Resource database on the STNext platform. Also it is shown how DWPIM can be used on STNext from structure searching to crossover to the Derwent World Patents Index® database and how to combine those Markush results with roles and non-structural fragmentation codes.

The session illustrates various aspects of this database, including drawing structures using Derwent superatoms and STN generic nodes, and applying attributes to nodes and bonds. An example with the complete workflow from structure drawing, finding the corresponding DWPI patent family records, and exporting of DWPI results including the hit structures is part of this e-Seminar.
An update is provided which new functionalities were added since the release of this database in 2018.
