Searching CRISPR Target Sequences in DGENE on classic STN

STN's sequence databases allow for both comprehensive and precise searching for published sequences, and sequence search strategies can be applied to even cutting-edge techniques and processes. In this session, basic and intermediate sequence search techniques in the DGENE (GENESEQ) database are covered, with a focus on sequence code match (SCM) and similarity searching for target sequences used in the CRISPR technique of DNA modification and gene editing. The e-seminar also covers some of STN's built-in tools for data extraction, analysis, and reporting, including the Patent Family Manager and the Table Tool. Additional sequence databases are also described, and training resources that sequence searchers may find helpful are included.
