Searching Surfactants and Detergents on STN

This session will explore how surfactants are covered in the CAS and Derwent suite of databases. The rules for indexing of individual surfactant classes in these databases will be discussed on the basis of examples. Aspects covered in these databases on STN include preparation, chemistry, and use of surfactants. We will also present examples for controlled terminology and Manual Codes useful for searching detergents and surfactants. A search example including structure searching, multi-file patent retrieval and exporting results containing hit structures will be part of this e-seminar.
